Improved Online Security from The First

The First has now improved the security of your Online Banking. This change will protect you at whatever computer you're using, wherever you are.

Now, here's what to expect when you log onto your Online Banking:
  1. First, simply login as normal.
  2. Next, create your new User ID. Create something simple and easy to remember.
    • At least 6 but no more than 14 characters
    • A combination of letters or numbers
    • The letters are not case sensitive
  3. Choose and answer one of 4 "challenge questions".
  4. Select whether to register this computer or not.
Note: if you are at a public or shared computer (e.g. an Internet café, at the library or school, etc.), we recommend to NOT add the extra security.
  5. In the future, you will only be prompted to answer the challenge question if one of the following occurs:
    1. You log onto Online Banking at another computer that is not yet enrolled.
    2. You've cleared your cookies or change browsers on your computer.
    3. You log into Online Banking at a computer you have decided not to previously enroll. You should note that if you do not enroll a computer, you will have to answer the challenge question each time you login to that unenrolled computer.
